Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 2 February 2026

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Expert.Med website, apps (if any), and related services (together, the “Platform”). The Platform is operated by Expert Med Telerad Ltd (“Expert.Med”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

Company details: Expert Med Telerad Ltd, incorporated in England and Wales.
Registered office: 30a High Street, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, England, MK11 1AF
Company number: 16913094
Contact: support@expert.med

  • By creating an account, submitting a case, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.

1) Key definitions

  • “User” / “you”: a person using the Platform to obtain a second-opinion radiology report, or an authorised person uploading on someone else’s behalf.

  • “Radiologist” / “Provider”: an independent, appropriately credentialed radiologist (or radiology provider) who uses the Platform to provide a second-opinion report.

  • “Case”: the diagnostic imaging (DICOM) and related information you upload, including the primary report and any additional documents.

  • “Second Opinion”: a second-opinion radiology interpretation of an existing diagnostic study, provided by a Radiologist.

2) Our role: platform provider and payment agent

  1. Expert.Med is not a medical provider. We provide a technology platform that enables Users to connect with Radiologists for Second Opinions.

  2. Radiologists are independent professionals and are solely responsible for the medical services they provide, including the content and quality of any report.

  3. Agency (payment & contracting). Where permitted by law and made clear to you at checkout, Expert.Med acts as the Radiologist’s disclosed agent to facilitate:

    • the formation of a contract for medical services between you and the Radiologist(s); and

    • payment collection and remittance to the Radiologist(s).

  4. Nothing in these Terms limits your non-excludable rights under applicable consumer law.

3) Eligibility and account rules

  1. You must be 18 or over to use the Platform. Minors are not permitted at this time.

  2. You must create an account and keep your details accurate.

  3. You must keep your login credentials secure. You’re responsible for activity on your account.

4) What the service is (and isn’t)

  1. The Platform provides Second Opinions only. You must already have:

    • the diagnostic imaging (DICOM); and

    • an existing primary report for that imaging study.

  2. Not emergency care. The Platform is not for urgent or emergency situations. If you think you may have an emergency, contact local emergency services immediately.

  3. Not a substitute for your treating clinician. Do not rely on a Second Opinion without consulting your treating doctor/clinical team who has access to your full medical history.

  4. No guarantee of outcomes. Medical interpretation involves professional judgement. Different Radiologists may reasonably disagree.

5) How cases are matched and delivered

  1. Users may request 1, 2, or 3 Radiologist reports for the same Case.

  2. Radiologists may claim and accept Cases based on suitability and availability. A Radiologist may decline a Case at their discretion.

  3. Turnaround time: our current target is approximately 48 hours from Radiologist acceptance, but this is best-efforts and not guaranteed.

  4. Reports are delivered electronically via the Platform.

6) AI features (summary/chat)

  1. The Platform may provide an AI-generated aggregation/summarisation of Radiologist report(s) and an AI chat feature intended to help you understand the reports.

  2. AI outputs are not medical advice and may be incomplete or inaccurate. You must treat AI outputs as informational only, and prioritise the Radiologist report and your treating clinician’s advice.

  3. By using the Platform you acknowledge and accept the use of these AI features as part of the service.

7) Your obligations and consents (including uploading for someone else)

You agree that:

  1. Accuracy: You will provide complete and accurate information to the best of your knowledge.

  2. Ownership/authority to upload: You will upload only content you own or are authorised to share.

  3. Uploading on behalf of another person: If you submit a Case for someone else, you warrant that:

    • you are legally authorised to act for them and share their data (including health data);

    • you have obtained any required consents; and

    • you accept responsibility for the validity of that authorisation/consent.

  4. Image quality: You understand that incomplete records, missing prior imaging, or poor image quality can affect the Radiologist’s ability to interpret your study.

8) Fees, payment, and taxes

  1. Fees are shown at checkout. Prices may change over time, but changes won’t affect an order once paid.

  2. Payments are processed via our payment processor(s) (e.g., Stripe). You authorise us (as applicable) to charge your selected payment method.

  3. You are responsible for any bank/FX fees and any taxes that may apply in your jurisdiction.

9) Refunds and cancellations

  1. Full refund before delivery: If you cancel before any Radiologist report is written and delivered, we will issue a full refund.

  2. After delivery: Once a Radiologist report has been delivered, no refunds are provided (except where required by applicable law).

  3. If no Radiologist accepts your Case within a reasonable period, we may offer cancellation and refund.

10) Communications

You agree we may contact you about your Case and account (e.g., status updates, service messages). Marketing emails will be sent only where you have opted in (and you can unsubscribe).

11) Acceptable use

You must not:

  • use the Platform unlawfully;

  • attempt to reverse engineer or interfere with Platform security;

  • upload malware or harmful code;

  2. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use the Platform as intended.

  3. Your uploads: You retain ownership of your content. You grant us and relevant Radiologists a licence to host, process, and share your uploads to provide the services and for platform security, compliance, and dispute handling.

13) Disclaimers

  1. No medical advice from Expert.Med: Except for Radiologist reports, content on the Platform is for informational purposes only.

  2. No warranties: The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available”, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

  3. No legal use: The service is not intended for litigation, legal claims, insurance disputes, or medico-legal purposes, and you agree not to use it for those purposes.

14) Limitation of liability (important)

  1. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under law (including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation).

    Subject to the above:

    1. Expert.Med is not liable for the Radiologist’s medical services, including any acts, omissions, opinions, diagnoses, or recommendations in Radiologist reports.

    2. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Expert.Med will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses (including loss of profit, goodwill, or data).

    3. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Expert.Med’s total liability arising out of or in connection with these Terms and the Platform (whether in contract, tort, negligence, or otherwise) will be limited to the amount you paid to Expert.Med for the relevant Case.

15) Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Expert.Med harmless from claims arising from:

18) Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on the Platform and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
